Demo Reel

I am having difficulty uploading my video directly into the blog, but I do have it uploaded here.  I will keep it updated as often as possible.  Please contact me with critiques, advice, or questions.  I have attached a breakdown sheet to this post, for any who are interested.
You are encouraged to visit Classy Raptor Studio to check out our student project (Windows only).
Thanks so much!

Welcome to my website! I focus on 3d environment artist, but I feel confident in all layers of the game production pipeline.  Aside from playing video games, I also love reading, watching movies, and spending time outdoors.  I am passionate about traditional art, and I particularly enjoy sketching, painting with acrylics, and modeling in sculpey.  One of my stranger interests is alternative alphabets and symbolism.  The Japanese alphabets and kanji are of particular interest, and I have a shelf of symbolism books.

Happy New Year!   Let's hope 2012 is better than 2011 was!!  I got sick during my one week off, but I'm almost over it.  It's been amost a year now I've been working at Full Sail, and I'm still enjoying it.  I'm getting tired of moving from apartment to apartment, but hopefully I'll be able to settle soon.  I haven't had much time to work on my Pantheon project, but I'd like to post some updates soon.

I've been working on my pantheon concepts in my spare time.  There are 12 of them, and I'm starting to clean them up.  I'd like to share my "Queen Andromeda" concept.  I'm pretty happy with how the shield is starting to look.

In class, I've started doing weekly checks on my artists.  It takes a whole work day to do all the sit-downs and check on their Hansoft schedules.  Then I have to look at the games and make sure art is making it in.

Happy Halloween!!  I should have dressed up for work today, but I still have all my costume stuff in storage.  I should start work now on my costume for next year and maybe it will get finished on time.

I was struck by the seasonal flu last week, and boy did it hit me hard.  I was out of action for almost a whole week.  I did my best to give my teams as much attention as possible.  They have all chosen focus pieces for their games, and have started concepting.  This is a new thing we're trying with the art students, and we have several reasons.

I love books.  I always prefer to have a hard-bound paper and ink copy of a book over a digital copy.  I have wanted my own private library room since I was very young.  I would love to have a house like this:  http://www.toxel.com/inspiration/2011/06/15/bookshelf-house/.  It looks so cozy and yet functional and the whole place is basically one giant bookshelf.

A quick update on my personal projects:

Something seems to have gone wrong, and my last posts are not showing up. I hope this works.

This is my White Tower progress.  There are still a few textures I want to tweak, but for the most part I'm ready to call it done.  These images are all screenshots from Maya with no lighting.  I'm trying to decide if I want to try to render from Maya or if I'd rather take it into Unreal and render that way.
